What should you check on a pre-owned Rolex?
Use these questions to identify missing evidence. They are not a do-it-yourself authenticity test or a pass/fail score.

Independent Rolex review or official certification?
Rolex describes its Certified Pre-Owned programme as a manufacturer-backed route through participating Official Retailers. That is different from a report by an independent watch specialist. Read the official Rolex certification process for the manufacturer's requirements.

When should you pause a Rolex purchase?
Pause when identifiers conflict, records are unclear, inspection access is refused or the seller will not put material terms in writing. Do not open a watch yourself to settle an online claim. Record the unresolved questions and agree the right inspection before payment or transfer.

Can I tell whether a Rolex is fake from one photograph?
One photograph cannot establish every relevant detail. It can show a reason to investigate, but hidden components, condition and records may require an agreed physical inspection.
Do Rolex box and papers guarantee the watch is authentic?
No. Treat the supplied documents and accessories as evidence to check against the particular watch. Record any mismatch, missing information or replacement part instead of assuming the set proves the whole watch.
