About the house.

Maison Montres is a collector-first watch house in Genève, founded in 2026. It holds no stock and represents owners rather than a book of inventory — selling, sourcing, valuing and authenticating on a collector's behalf, and paid on what a watch realises rather than on a spread it keeps. It is not a dealer and not an authorised retailer, and is not affiliated with any manufacture named on this site. The whole model exists to remove one conflict: the party advising you on a watch should not be the party that profits from underpaying you for it.

The model, and why it matters

A dealer holds stock, and stock is a position to protect. When the party valuing your watch is also the party buying it, the valuation and the offer are the same conversation, and the discount is where the margin lives. That is not a criticism of dealers — it is a description of their incentive, and it is structural.

Maison Montres was built the other way round. With no inventory, there is no book to protect and nothing to talk anyone into: the recommendation is the one that serves the collection, which sometimes means buy, sometimes sell, and — in roughly two of every five valuations — keep the watch. The house cares about collectors and their assets, not about moving stock.

How the house works

  • Authentication. A twelve-point protocol against manufacturer reference, backed by a written guarantee held for the life of the watch.
  • Settlement. Every transaction runs through regulated escrow, releasing funds only on the buyer's inspection.
  • Reach. Collectors worldwide, worked directly, from Genève.
  • Specialism. F.P. Journe, where a thin, reference-specific market rewards a specialist.
