Maison Montres is a private watch advisory house. Discretion is the foundation of our relationship with collectors. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we hold it, and the controls available to you.
Maison Montres Genève SA, registered in Geneva, Switzerland, with its principal office at Place du Molard 5, 1204 Genève. The data controller for the purposes of EU GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) is contact@maisonmontres.com.
We collect only what is necessary for the engagement. This typically includes: name and contact information; the watch reference, year, and condition you wish to buy or sell; the price you have agreed; and identity documents required by Swiss anti-money-laundering law for transactions above CHF 100,000. We do not collect health information, political affiliation, or other special-category data.
To deliver the engagement you have asked us to deliver, to comply with Swiss FINMA and FATF anti-money-laundering obligations, and — only with your written consent — to share anonymised case-study material on our public-facing pages. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with marketers or advertisers. We do not use your data to train machine-learning systems.
Client records are held in our private CRM, hosted in Switzerland under Swiss data-protection law, with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to senior advisors directly involved in the engagement. Records are retained for ten years after the engagement closes, in line with Swiss FINMA record-keeping requirements, then permanently deleted.
This website uses three first-party cookies for anonymised analytics — measuring page views, average session duration, and referring sources. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking. Analytics are processed in Switzerland and aggregated; no individual visitor profile is constructed. You can decline analytics cookies via the banner at the bottom of every page.
You have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct anything inaccurate; have your data permanently deleted (subject to FINMA retention obligations); restrict our processing of it; export your data in machine-readable format; and object to any processing you have not specifically authorised. Beyond data protection, every Maison Montres engagement is covered by a written confidentiality clause in the engagement letter. We do not name buyers or sellers in conversation, in marketing material, or in regulatory disclosures unless legally compelled. Anonymised placement vignettes published on our website are reviewed and approved by the counterparties before publication.
Material changes to this policy are notified by email to clients on active engagement and posted at the top of this page for thirty days before taking effect. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

If we cannot resolve the matter to your satisfaction, you may complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland or, for EU residents, the data protection authority in your country of residence.
