Maximilian Büsser's laboratory has produced, since 2005, some of the most distinctive horological architectures in contemporary independent watchmaking — the open-cased Legacy Machines, the radically asymmetric Horological Machines, the multi-axis flying tourbillons, the Triple Calendar with vertical date display. Each piece is a collaboration with a named watchmaker (Stephen McDonnell, Eric Coudray, Jean-François Mojon, others). Production is intentionally limited; certain references are functionally allocation-only at the M.A.D.Gallery and partner retailers; others trade exclusively on the secondary collector market.

Legacy Machine series. LM1 (the founding piece, with Jean-François Mojon and Kari Voutilainen on the regulator and finishing), LM2 (twin balance wheels, with Jean-François Mojon), LM Perpetual (the McDonnell-developed perpetual calendar), LM Sequential EVO (Stephen McDonnell's twin-chronograph architecture), LM SE Eddy Jaquet (the engraved literary editions), LM Thunderdome (axis-mounted regulator). The Legacy Machines are the more classical Büsser line and trade actively on the secondary market.
Horological Machine series. HM4 Thunderbolt, HM6 Space Pirate (the alien-architecture central tourbillon), HM7 Aquapod, HM8 (the open-cased driving-machine), HM10 Bulldog. These are the more architecturally radical Büsser pieces — case shapes that reject the conventional round watch entirely.
LMX. The tenth-anniversary Legacy Machine — twin balance wheels, double pinion, hours and minutes shown on two independent dials.
Triple Calendar. The vertically-displayed calendar architecture released in 2024-25; among the most-watched current production references.
Performance Art and limited collaborations. The watch-only-watches editions, Only Watch contributions, and the L'Épée 1839 collaboration objects (the rocket clocks, the Octopod). The collaborations trade as significant collector items in their own right.

3. Authentication. Every MB&F piece passes our twelve-point intake protocol in Geneva, signed by a named watchmaker. Two-tier authentication is standard on early production (pre-2010 Legacy Machines, the founding HM series), Eddy Jaquet engraved editions, and any reference where presentation or finishing has been altered.
4. Settlement. Inspection window on every transaction. Documentation transfers with the watch — original papers, presentation packaging, archive references where applicable, and the full Maison Montres dossier.
MB&F is unusual among independent houses in being structured around collaboration. Büsser plays the curatorial role; the watchmakers — McDonnell, Mojon, Voutilainen, Coudray — execute the work. The result is a catalogue with an unusual combination of formal coherence and architectural variation: every Legacy Machine is recognisably a Legacy Machine, but no two are mechanically the same.
The secondary market reflects this. The Legacy Machine series in particular has built a clear collector following over the past fifteen years, with the LM Perpetual and the LM Sequential EVO emerging as the strongest realised-price references in the catalogue. The Horological Machines trade more thinly but have a dedicated following — particularly the HM6 Space Pirate and the discontinued HM4 Thunderbolt. The Eddy Jaquet engraved editions are now established as serious collector objects in their own right.
